No man’s lens – Sigma 24-105mm F4 DG OS HSM | Art

No man’s lens – sounds provocative, right? And what’s wrong with a 24-105mm lens?

Nothing, if you are using a 35mm body such as a Sony Alpha 7 – something if you are working with an APS-C sized sensor, in case of Sigma of Nikon the angle-of-view only resembles that of a 36-158mm lens on a 35mm body. 158mm? Nice … but the 36mm is neither meat nor fish.

That leaves us with the opinion about when using an APS-H size sensor, such as the Canon EOS 1D Mark I – IV. Or the Sigma SD Quattro H.

There we are talking about an equivalent 31mm-137mm – still not a great wide angle but at least somewhere in-between the good old 28mm and 35mm klicks.

In the next post let’s get out the SDQH and show examples – meanwhile you can check the lenses technical data at Sigma
